Behaviour Policy.
At Centrestage Perform, we aim to maintain a secure, caring and stimulating environment in which all children are encouraged to have respect for themselves, each other and all staff.  Centrestage recognises that behaviour could be a sign that for some individuals there is an unfulfilled need, and that the behaviour is communicating that there is a problem. Centrestage will use reasonable endeavours to make any necessary adjustments to reduce the stimulus that may be triggering the challenging response. After all necessary adjustments have been made to address the challenging behaviour, the following system will be followed:
Green – warning to all students in class regarding unacceptable behaviour. Reminding the class of what behaviour is expected from them and how we respect ourselves, others, and staff at all times.
Yellow – Message to parent/guardian regarding unacceptable behaviour and asking parents/guardians to talk with their child about acceptable behaviour in class.
Red – Formal warning in writing to parent/guardian outlining the measures that have been taken within class to try and reduce the behaviour displayed and an exact explanation of the behaviour causing concern.
After all steps in the traffic light system have been completed and the behaviour has still not improved or reoccurs, the child/children in question will be asked to leave the school.

Fire Safety and Evacuation Procedure.
These procedures will be regularly reviewed and maintained.
Step 1 - Upon discovery of a fire.

  • Sound the alarm.

  • Do not attempt to tackle the fire.

  • Remain calm and quickly begin steps to evacuate all students.

  • Keep students calm – Do not take any belongings.

  • Evacuate to the designated evacuation point clearly stated below.

  • Once evacuated organise children and take register.

  • Do not re-enter the building until it has been fully cleared by the emergency services.

Step 2 – Make parents aware of the emergency evacuation and if necessary, organise the collection of their children in a timely manner. If collection is not necessary and building has been cleared by emergency services for re- entry, take children back into the building to await collection time and explain to all parents that an evacuation has taken place and all measures were adhered to.
EVACUATION POINT
Our Evacuation point is stated below.
Point One:

  • Top of the main car park.

Students will be taken to the top of the main car park and gathered in the back corner away from any immerging vehicles.
