It's almost week 5 of our Drama & Theatre training for our 6-12 year olds! And what a fantastic start we have had, our budding actors have taken to direction and picking up new skills brilliantly - which makes us even more EXCITED to begin rehearsals for our festive show in December very soon!

Here are some great tips to help prepare for rehearsals, so that they can run as smoothly as possible!
Start learning lines off-book as soon as you are given your role! (P.S - this will make it easier to follow stage directions and bring your character to life)
Bring your water bottle to stay hydrated
Keep practicing your voice and physical warm ups at home to bring out your best and clearest voice/performance (lots of diaphragm and volume work)
Have fun with your script! (you can try different voices, reactions, volumes too!)
You can also write any notes onto your script from your home practice so you can remember them during rehearsals. (For example - 'stand up here' or 'act shocked here').
Rehearsing as much as possible at home is the best preparation for rehearsing in class - it really helps your child explore their characters and scenes independently to bring their own creative flair into class!
In the meantime... the Official London Theatre will be releasing theatre tickets on sale soon, feel free to take advantage by signing up in advance, here.
Tickets for the Snow White pantomime at Barking's local theatre, The Broadway Barking are now on sale too! Check out their website and booking page, here.
Thanks for reading!
