It's been a busy and exciting few months here at Centrestage Perform, and we couldn't be more excited to share everything we've been working on!
🎭 HAF Summer Musical Theatre Camp Bookings Are Now Open!
The countdown to summer has officially begun, and we're delighted to announce that bookings for our HAF Summer Musical Theatre Camp are now open via Eequ!
Our popular summer camp is packed full of acting, singing, dancing, creative activities, games and plenty of opportunities for children to build confidence, make new friends and express themselves through performing arts. Our professionally industry-trained teachers deliver transferrable skills and techniques to help children learn and thrive.
Children who are eligible through the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme can attend free of charge. We also have a very limited number of affordable paid places available for families who do not meet the council's HAF eligibility criteria, ensuring even more children have the opportunity to experience the magic of musical theatre this summer.
Book your place today:https://eequ.org/book/summer-musical-theatre-camp-act-sing-dance-with-centrestage-perform-21745
Places are limited, and with both HAF-funded and paid spaces expected to fill quickly, we recommend booking as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
🌍 Launching Our Children's Theatre Show – Robo's Earth Adventure
One of our biggest highlights this term has been launching our brand-new children's theatre production, Robo's Earth Adventure.
This interactive show takes young audiences on an exciting journey alongside Robo as they discover the magic of the different seasons each year. Filled with music, storytelling, laughter, we've loved bringing this production to life and sharing it with local families.
We're proud to have performed Robo's Earth Adventure at The Wilds in Barking Riverside and Thames View Community Hub in Thames View, Barking, where children and families enthusiastically joined Robo on their adventure. Seeing young audiences engage with the story, join in with the interactive moments and leave inspired to care for the environment has been incredibly rewarding. Please keep eyes peeled for further shows to come later this year.
❤️ Supporting Families Through Storytelling
We also had the privilege of taking part in a heartfelt and inspiring NHS Drop-In Clinic with a special 'Baby and Me' theme at the Barking Learning Centre in Barking Town.
During the event, we delivered interactive storytelling sessions for families, using songs & stories of parenthood. It was wonderful to meet so many parents, carers and little ones and be part of such a welcoming community event.
Thank you to everyone who joined us—we loved every minute!
🦁 The Lion King Is Almost Here!
Our talented Centrestage Young Actors have been working incredibly hard throughout the term, and we are so excited for their upcoming end-of-term performance of The Lion King.
From learning choreography and developing characters to building confidence on stage, it's been fantastic to watch every performer grow week after week.
We can't wait for family and friends to see all of their hard work come together in what promises to be a spectacular performance.
🌟 Looking Ahead to September
As one exciting term comes to an end, we're already looking ahead to the next!
This September we'll be launching brand-new drama and performance classes for younger children, giving even more little performers the opportunity to discover the magic of theatre from an early age through imaginative play, storytelling and creative performance.
We'll also be introducing our Advanced Performance Classes for older and more experienced students. These sessions are designed to challenge performers who are ready to take the next step, developing stronger acting techniques, stagecraft, performance skills and confidence while preparing for future performance opportunities.
We can't wait to welcome both new and returning students as we continue to grow our Centrestage family.
Thank You
To all of our students, families, supporters and community partners—thank you for being part of such an incredible journey.
We're so proud of everything we've achieved together over the past few months, and with summer camps, performances and exciting new classes on the horizon, we know the best is still to come.
We look forward to welcoming many of you this summer at our HAF Musical Theatre Camp and to sharing another exciting year of creativity, confidence and performance together!
